Fall? Not quite.

It seems like the weather is cooling down a bit. A teeny tiny little bit.
But the kids cannot wait for the summer to be over.
Sadie wants to start school and get to her birthday in October.
Jude and Ezra want Halloween to get here so they can dress up like a fireman and Spiderman, respectively.
I cannot wait for cool, crisp, jacket weather.
And of course, all the kids are looking forward to Thanksgiving and Christmas.

It's been a busy summer. We've been trying to cram in lots of outdoor play in between working on the rental house, me working on some new artwork and other projects, and preparing for a big trip in September.

With the fall and winter comes the inevitable slow down of life as we become more house bound. It actually doesn't sound too bad right about now. But I'll be kicking myself for thinking that come February. By then we'll all be longing for more of this:

So, we'll enjoy it while we can.

I want to see some of your artwork!
Where to on your big trip?

It's nice how our lifestyles change a bit with each season, causing some anticipation for the next. I could still use a little more summer here though.

Hi Jencia!
We're going to Italy in September! Probably the last big trip for us for a decade. :)
I put a link in the blog list to a new blog I started to record artwork. It's just says "art".
How are you guys doing? I hope you are feeling well!

I too keep thinking cooler weather would be nice, but then I think of the COLD weather, short days, wind and snow. But it's just the circle of life! BTW, next week is supposed to be cooler! Yay!

I saw your art blog. It was neat to see what you have been up to.

Well, looks like you will probably have a new niece or nephew when you get back! I know you will have fun. I went to Italy on an art/history trip and it was a great experience.
