Doc's update

So we spent a whirlwind two days in Rochester. Haha, no...I kid. More like a plodding, sitting,
my-butt-is-going-numb two days in Rochester.
Probably, a grand total of at least 10 hours in various lobbies and waiting rooms.

So, two days, ten sitting hours, and one MR angiogram later, we get to hear that; yes, indeed, I do have a Chiari 1 malformation, and it *probably* is causing my weird and my normal headaches, and NO, nothing needs to be done about it, because a) I do not have an anyeuysm and b) I am not drooling, mumbling, or falling down! Although I suppose those last three are debatable...

So best of all possible outcomes! Thank you all for praying!

Wow, I haven't kept up--I didn't know how (possibly) serious this was. Thank God! Just curious--what were your symptoms? What's a "weird" headache?

Glad there is not anything else there but sorry you still have to deal with what you do have!

Hey Allison!
I was/am having strange pressure headaches (started after Violet was born). They are a lot like cough or exertion headaches if you want to look those up. I finally went in b/c I was worried I might have a stroke or something.
That was the only symptom, and I guess you are born with Chiari 1, so maybe Violet's birth set off the headaches? Either way, off all brain problems to have, this is the one. Minor and uncomplicated. At least for me! :)

Good to hear! Glad it's nothing too serious.

Some of us girls were just saying how we missed you!...and we're jealous that you and Katie D. get to hang out... haha, no, we are happy for you both.

Take care.
